Presenter Bio
Parker Johnson (he/him) is an award-winning writer, entrepreneur, and proud member of the AB 2SLGBTQIA+ Chamber of Commerce based in Calgary. With nearly 20 years of experience across communications, business development, and management, Parker has driven success for top organizations in sectors ranging from nonprofits and healthcare to construction and academia.
Growing up in rural Oklahoma, Parker developed a deep appreciation for community-based institutions, an ethos that continues to drive his career. In 2021, he channeled his diverse experiences into founding Cottonwood Creative, a cross-border marketing agency. Through Cottonwood, Parker supports dedicated social impact organizations, while also helping for-profit companies advance their own social impact and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals worldwide.
When he isn’t helping purpose-driven brands grow, Parker is exploring Alberta. He lives in Calgary with his husband, Preston, and their doxipoo, Theo, and enjoys hiking, camping, film photography, traveling, and hosting game nights with friends.
