One of the first challenges new entrepreneurs and community advocates face is tackling the fear of putting yourself out there. Being vulnerable, open and speaking your truth is challenging at the best of times, but in politically-charged times, it can be even more difficult and even more rewarding.
In this 1-hour webinar, Colten Fagan shares his advocacy and leadership journey from advocating for queer inclusion and representation at a small rural campus in Nova Scotia to becoming an educator and doctoral candidate dedicated to creating lasting change.
Attendees will leave this webinar feeling empowered and equipped with new skills to face the challenges leadership brings.
Presenter Bio
Coltan Fagan is an educator and independent consultant whose work spans tourism, community development, and organizational leadership. His career has included roles with Tourism Calgary, Calgary Downtown Association, and SAIT, as well as board leadership with Calgary Pride.
Coltan is a Doctor of Business Administration candidate at Royal Roads University, where his research explores the relationship between anti-2SLGBTQIA+ discourse and Alberta’s economic environment. Drawing on his professional and lived experience, he speaks openly about leadership, vulnerability, finding your voice, and stepping into opportunities before you feel completely ready.
