Not every Christmas story is all sugar, spice and everything nice. This December, we're embracing the louder side of the holiday season with Krampus Christmas, a special Chef’s Table experience led by Chef Tony Tipping of WildRoots Bistro in St. Albert.
Inspired by the folklore of Krampus, the legendary Alpine Christmas figure known for accompanying St. Nicholas and keeping the naughty in check, this dinner takes a playful turn away from traditional holiday fare. Think a little mischief, a little mystery and an evening that promises to be anything but ordinary.
Chef Tony Tipping brings a wealth of culinary experience and a passion for creative, ingredient-driven cooking to the table. As the chef and co-owner of WildRoots Bistro, Tony draws inspiration from his culinary training, international travels and experience in some of Edmonton's celebrated kitchens, including Woodwork, Bar Clementine and Restaurant Yarrow. His approach celebrates local ingredients, bold flavours and the art of bringing people together through food.
For this special Christmas dinner, Chef Tony is dreaming up a creative menu with a few unexpected twists, inspired by the spirit of Krampus and the season's more mischievous traditions. Guests can expect an imaginative culinary experience that pushes beyond the familiar and brings something entirely different to the Christmas table.
