ORGANIZER Tokyo Saviour Contact Organizer Since early childhood, Hiroaki Omote, creator of Sousei Kagura, learned and mastered movements, forms and etiquettes of Japanese Antient Shinto, Shugendo, Classical Martial Arts and others. As a result, he got an idea of Neo-Japanesque (Onko Soushin = creating the new by examining the old), based on which concept he created “Sousei Kagura” by inventing performance and choreography as well as by preserving the main concept of Kagura which is the basis of traditional Japanese culture. Thus, Sousei Kagura has retained forms, ways of expressing and offering sense of awe and reverence against gods and nature which can be originally seen in Kagura, and contains elements which are suitable for the modern “Kagura”. In addition, combining the theme of “Legend of All Saviours of the World” of Kagura “SAVIOUR” started at the Asian and European Summit in Korea in 2000, Sousei Kagura “SAVIOUR” performance has been staged in Osaka every year since 2022. We will continue contributing to the pray for the world peace by awakening peoples’ souls and promoting awareness of the fact that everyone is a saviour through the performance of Sousei Kagura “SAVIOUR”.
