- Tarren is a collaboration between Sid Goldsmith, Alex Garden and Danny Pedler. Formed in 2021, the trio combines cittern, concertina, fiddle and accordion to create music they call New-Folk, inspired by the English tradition while incorporating modern influences and their trademark modular hooks and riffs.Tarren began with a sharing of compositions over the internet during the lockdowns of 2021. Fast forward a few months and they were able to meet in person with a set of songs and tunes that they had each explored separately but never heard with their collective instrumental voices. Fun was had, plans were made.They released their debut album Revel in 2022 to high critical acclaim with the album being likened to Faustus and Lau’s iconic debut Lightweights and Gentlemen. This success was built on in 2024 with the release of Tarren's second studio album, Outside Time.
