Headphones on, everyone moving to the same beat, 5km through the vineyards at Bloemendal. It’s a run, it’s a party, and it’s the least intimidating way to move your body all year. Saturday 24 October 2026 at 8:30 am Bloemendal Trail Park, Durbanville, Cape Town 5km · Walk it, Jog it, Dance it Medal, Goodie Bag, After Party & More WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS? EVERYONE GETS A PAIR OF GLOWING MULTI-CHANNEL HEADPHONES (disclosure: not to keep though!). A Silent Disco Fun Run is exactly what it sounds like: a 5km through the vineyards at Bloemendal, except instead of music playing over speakers, everyone wears a pair of glowing wireless headphones. Tune in, and the whole crowd moves to the same soundtrack - walking, jogging, and dancing their way around the course in what looks, from the outside, like total silence. You choose a group when you arrive – anything from walking only to a steady jog – and each group has a leader wearing a transmitter. You tune your headphones to your leader’s channel, and simply follow their music and their pace for the full 5km.Which means nobody gets left behind you’re always with a leader whose whole job is to stay with your group. It’s not a race. There are no timing chips, no pressure, and no such thing as too slow. Just a fun, easy 5km, a great soundtrack, a beautiful farm, and a big dance party at the finish line. FIND YOUR FREQUENCY FIVE PACE GROUPS. Whatever you’re up for, there’s a group (and a leader on the transmitter) for you. Tune in and go. Pace groups may shift a little on the day depending on who turns up - but there’s always one that fits you. WHAT YOU GET YOUR ENTRY INCLUDES: Headphones to wear on the day & a 5km through the vineyards, tuned to your pace group's leader. A bag of good stuff to take home from the day. A finishers medal as proof you danced your way through a 5K. (Kiddies Dash finishers get a candy medal) A Silent Disco (Non-Running Edition) once the run's done - because the party's only half over at the finish line. Photos from the day, to prove you were gloriously unhinged for one Saturday morning. Great music, a beautiful farm, and a crowd that's there for fun, not finish times. SCHEDULE THE RUNNING ORDER: 6:30 AM : Number Collection Opens 8:00 AM : Number Collection Closes 8:15 AM : Group warm-up (yes, the Cha Cha Slide) 8:30 AM : Fun Run starts 10:15 AM : Fun Run cut-off 10:30 AM : Kiddies 200m Dash 11:00 AM : Prize giving & giveaways 11:30 AM : Silent Disco (Non-Running Edition) 13:30 PM : Event wrap-up Open to absolutely everyone. Walk it, jog it, dance the whole way - and bring the kids for the 200m Dash. Bring your least sporty friend, the one who swears they’d never do something like this. Especially them.
