Sometimes called 'Bosnian blues' or sevdalinka, the music reflects Bosnia's rich cultural history: Roma, Slavic, and Sephardic Jewish influences meld with sounds from across the Ottoman Empire. Imamovic, a Sarajevo-born artist with deep family roots in Balkan music, preserves folk tradition while creating music that's evolving and vibrantly alive.
