莎士比亚环球剧院前艺术总监多米尼克·德罗姆古尔执导 “007女郎”杰玛·阿特登领衔主演 两度奥利弗奖得主丹尼丝·高夫以及奥利弗奖提名演员大卫·道森联袂加盟 莎士比亚环球剧院 马尔菲公爵夫人 The Duchess of Malfi 北京奥哲维文化传播有限公司独家引进发行 这部最为私密、细腻的詹姆士一世时期悲剧，被选为莎士比亚环球剧院于2014年全新打造的山姆·沃纳梅克室内剧场首个演出季的开幕之作，由剧院前任艺术总监多米尼克·德罗姆古尔执导，“007”女郎杰玛·阿特登（ Gemma Arterton ）以公爵夫人的身份重返环球剧院舞台，“为这一角色带来了‘美感、坚定意志与道德上的善良’”（《卫报》）；还有两度奥利弗奖得主丹尼丝·高夫（ Denise Gough ）以及奥利弗奖提名演员大卫·道森（ David Dawson ），詹姆斯·加农（ James Garnon ）倾情加盟出演。 这是一部充满血腥与阴谋的故事：年轻的马尔菲公爵夫人新寡，她的两位兄弟为了继承遗产和控制她的生活，禁止她再婚，后来公爵夫人决意为了爱与自由进行反抗，却终遭杀害，而她的仇雠们亦在如此泯灭人性的行动中走向自我毁灭。 《马尔菲公爵夫人》最初由莎士比亚本人所在的国王剧团（King ’ s Men）公开上演，编剧约翰·韦伯斯特（John Webster ）以惊人的想象力建构了一波三折的戏剧设定、毛骨悚然的场景与鲜明的人物刻画，公爵夫人的不屈抗争和悲剧性命运尤其令人印象深刻。 This most intimate Jacobean tragedy was the ideal curtain-raiser for our first season in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. Gemma Arterton returns to the Globe in the title role of the Duchess, bringing 'beauty, determination, and a sense of moral goodness' ( The Guardian ). First performed by the King’s Men – Shakespeare’s own company – ‘privately at the Blackfriars and publicly at the Globe’, The Duchess of Malfi is a thrilling combination of brilliant coups de théâtre, horrific set-pieces and vivid characters – notably the tragic Duchess and the subtly villainous Bosola – all lit by Webster’s obsessional imagination.
