"Ensemble Connect makes a chamber music concert an immersive experience … providing insights into the composer, the work, and the players’ approach … few do it better” ( Seen and Heard International ). Hear the ever-evolving ensemble in a varied and adventurous program that includes a newly commissioned work by Luna Lab composer and recent NYO-USA Apprentice Composer Lili M. Namazi. Audience connection is a foundational component of every Ensemble Connect performance, and Carnegie Hall’s intimate Well-Being Concerts are an ideal way to experience this special chamber group. Audience members will be seated onstage with the performers, and can choose from a variety of casual and comfortable seating options, with mats, cushions, and chairs all available on a first-come, first-served basis. No experience with mindfulness or meditation is needed—only a willingness to listen, breathe, and be present. Photos taken by Heather Riley during a Well-Being Concert with Somi (September 2026) About Well-Being Concerts Well-Being Concerts combine live music with explorations of mindfulness, self-care, and communal connection. Each concert is designed as a restorative listening experience, offering audiences the chance to slow down, be present, and experience music as a source of well-being. The Skidmore series is being developed in collaboration with partners in our community, including Saratoga Hospital , Wellspring , the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office , and Yoga Mandali . Together, the partners will help shape restorative practices and connect the concerts with people who may benefit from them. A portion of the available space for each performance will be reserved for community members invited through these partnerships. About the Artists Ensemble Connect is a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education.
