WAAPA Students $5 entry at the door with student card WAAPA staff Free at the door with staff card. 6:00PM - BLUE-TUNE NEPTUNE is a story told through original compositions buy contemporary bass player Mike Brown . Inspired by artists such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Masoyoshi Takanaka and Talking Heads, BLUE-TUNE NEPTUNE takes the audience on a vast journey though different planets, culminating in a guitar solo battle between 2 wizards on the planet of Neptune. 7:05PM - Cooper Wils is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose music draws from a diverse range of influences, including Pink Floyd, Ocean Alley, John Frusciante, and Fred again and Angus & Julia Stone. His approach to music is centred around originality, creativity, and creating an authentic connection between his songwriting and live performance. Cooper’s recital will showcase his development as an artist throughout his time at WAAPA, combining original compositions with selected covers and arrangements. The performance will explore a range of styles, incorporating elements of folk, acoustic, rock, psychedelic rock, and fusion. Ultimately, the recital represents an opportunity for Cooper to explore and define his own creative voice, while using the performance as a foundation for what comes next in his development as an artist. 8:10PM - “This Is Me” is a little snapshot of Kelsey as an artist, showcasing the music she loves and the kind of performer she is. With a love for big energy, good vibes, and songs that make you want to sing along, Kelsey believes in being unapologetically herself on and off stage. She aims to leave you with a smile, sore dancing feet and a great song stuck in your head! 9:15PM - Erin Whitehead is a singer/songwriter based in Perth, Western Australia and credits her love of music and performing to her parents, who surrounded her with the music of Crowded House, Bic Runga, Lily Allen and Missy Higgins, amongst others from a young age. She describes her sound as Contemporary, indie pop and jazz – influenced pop, citing performers like Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple and Lana Del Ray as vocal and songwriting influences. Erin is known for her captivating vocal tone and expressive lyricism. And with over a decade of performance experience, she looks forward to continuing to perform and write music, collaborating with other musicians wherever she may go and will continue to build a career doing what she loves. Under 18s may attend with parent or legal guardian supervision. Any Under 18s not accompanied may not be permitted entry.
