Synopsis : All in the Timing is a popular collection of six witty, one-act comedies by American playwright David Ives, first performed off-Broadway in 1993, that explore themes of love, language, and existentialism through clever, often absurd, scenarios. The plays include "Sure Thing," a first date with infinite do-overs; "Words, Words, Words," about monkeys typing Shakespeare; "The Universal Language," about a made-up language; "Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread," a musical parody; "The Philadelphia," a reality-bending restaurant; and "Variations on the Death of Trotsky," a humorous take on the revolutionary's demise.
