The ACJS continues to explore innovative and effective methodologies and services in criminal justice, both nationally and internationally. The 8th ACJS will integrate a focus on indigenous needs and challenges throughout the sessions and will include effective rehabilitation, creative correctional practices and evidence-based approaches and practices that significantly prevent criminological behaviour or reduce recidivism. We invite local Alberta, national and international practitioners and academics to consider offering an interactive workshop. In recognition of the survey feedback from the 2026 ACJS, the workshop sessions will be reduced to 75 minutes each and the Gala Dinner is replaced by a “Pub Night” style networking evening.
