Dub pioneer Scientist comes to Inkonst on 6 February. Emerging from King Tubby’s legendary Kingston studio in the late ’70s, Hopeton Brown helped turn the mixing desk into an instrument of its own — bass, echo, reverb and radical subtraction reshaping recordings into new architectures of sound. The night is presented together with Malmö’s own Deng Deng HiFi, digging into their record collection throughout the evening — vinyl pressure, no sound system this time. This is the first concert announced for SS/27. Tickets are available now — or, for those willing to wait until the end of the year, Scientist will also be included in the SS/27 Season Pass.
