'නුග ගහක්' නළුවන් දෙදෙනෙකුගේ නාට්‍යයකි. ප්‍රියන්ත සිරිකුමාර මෝහනවේදියකුගේ භූමිකාවට පණ පොවන අතර දෙවෙනි චරිතය සඳහා සෑම දර්ශන වාරයකම වෙනස් නළුවෙක් හෝ නිළියක් එක් වෙයි. දෙවැන්නා වේදිකාවට ගොඩ වන්නේ මේ නාට්‍ය ඉන් පෙර කිසි ම දිනක නොදැක ය; මෙම පිටපතේ වචනයකුදු කලින් නොකියවා, පෙර පුහුණුවකින් තොරව ය. ඔවුහු එම මොහොතේ දිග හැරෙන සිදුවීම් දාමයේ කොටස්කරුවන් බවට පත් වෙති. ඒ අනුව ඔක්තෝබර් 28 වැනි දා දෙවෙනි චරිතය නිරූපණය කරමින් වේදිකාවට පිවිසෙන්නේ ගෙහාන් බ්ලොක්!

වාහන අනතුරකින් පියෙකුට තම දියණිය අහිමි වෙයි. එම වාහනය පැදවූ පුද්ගලයා වේදිකාව මත මෝහන සංදර්ශන ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නෙකි. අනතුරින් පසු ඔහුට යෝජනා මාර්ගයෙන් මෝහනය කිරීමේ බලය අහිමි වී ඇත. ඔහුගේ මෝහන සංදර්ශනය දැන් තනිකර ජංජාලයකි. අනතුරින් පසු මේ දෙදෙනා පළමු වරට මුණ ගැසෙන්නේ දැන් ය. මෝහනවේදියාගේ මෝහන ක්‍රියාකාරකමකට පියා ස්වේච්ඡාවෙන් ඉදිරිපත් වන මොහොතේ එම හමුව සිදු වෙයි.

'නුග ගහක්', අහිමි වීම, යෝජනාව (suggestion) සහ මනසේ බලය ගැන අමුතුම විදිහේ නාට්‍යයකි. එය තුළ සිත් පැහැරගන්නා කතාන්තරයක්, පොහොසත් නාටකීයත්වයක් හා තැතිගන්වන අඳුරු හාස්‍යයක් සංකලනය වෙයි.

Nuga Gahak unfolds as a two-actor performance. Priyantha Sirikumara takes on the role of a stage hypnotist, while the second role is performed by a different guest actor each night. He or she steps onto the stage without prior rehearsal, without ever having seen the script or ever having read the script. On October 28, Gehan Blok will be playing the second character!

The story follows a father who loses his daughter in a tragic car accident. The driver responsible is a stage hypnotist, who, after the tragedy, finds himself unable to practice hypnosis through suggestion, something that defined his prior work. When the grieving father volunteers to take part in one of the hypnotist’s stage acts, the two men confront their intertwined pasts in an encounter that is as moving as it is unpredictable.

Exploring themes of loss, suggestion, and the power of the mind and imagination, Nuga Gahak combines a gripping narrative, rich theatricality, and darkly comic undertones.
