The Skapones are a wonderful night out, what with their progressive pop reggae and high energy skanking bangers, both originals and choice left field covers (Frankie’s ‘Two Tribes’ for instance)…it all makes for a tremendous end product, perhaps as you’d expect from someone like Willo who’s been an insider at The Specials camp for years now. Great to have them back. Support from The Skavengers - ‘Boss sounds and ruder than rude, ska classics and original skanks. Fuck art, let’s dance!’ Not many Benny! Bubounce - 8 Piece ska outfit doing highly charged versions of 2 Tone tunes but mixing it up with a bit of early Dexys (Geno), all done quite faithfully and with a bit of verve so a very good live proposition.
