Dad Manners is a tribute to one of the biggest 2Tone bands to come out of the early 1980’s, Bad Manners, which had a number of hits such as " Nee Nee Na Na Na Na Nu Nu ", " My Girl Lollipop ", " Lip Up Fatty ", " Can Can ", " Special Brew ", " Walking in the Sunshine " and " That'll Do Nicely ". Dad Manners formed in 2021 as an 8-piece band that includes ex full-time members of Bad Manners, who used to tour and record with the band. The band is fronted by Alan Driver, who is a charismatic figure on stage, backed up by strong vocals. Alan has had many years experienced singing with a number of ska covers bands. Everyone in the band is a committed fan of ska; given this and our line-up, we believe (and have been told by fans) that the Dad Manners sound is about as close as you could get to the original, high intensity sound of 2 Tone ska. The band is based in the South of England, but will travel all over the UK and Europe (2023 saw their European debut in Holland as part of a 2 Tone tour).
