- A Scarborough debut for this acclaimed folk band.Hase Waits are an innovative folk music group that are on a mission to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity through their enchanting blend of traditional instrumental music. Using a variety of instruments that include Low Whistles, Hurdy-Gurdy, Flutes, Fiddle, Guitar, Bass and Percussion, they create a sound which captivates and shows a profound respect for the musical heritage they embody.The bands's name, formed of two words - ‘Hase’ being the name in the Domesday Book of the town that the band was formed (Hessle) and ‘Waits’ the name the town musicians were called in medieval times.
