Skydaddy

Skydaddy is the moniker of Rachid Fakhre. Having developed a cult status as one half on Spang Sisters, Fakhre embarked on this project in 2023 releasing his first single that summer, then touring with his 6-piece backing band, supporting Black Country, New Road before releasing his first mini-album in January 2024. Following Pilot’s success, Fakhre was approached by Balazs Altsach (Ugly, Blue Bendy, The Orchestra (For Now)) at Church Studios to record his second EP, Anchor Chains, Plane Motors & Train Whistles, which was released in February 2025 and focused on ambitious arrangements, rich textures and bold songwriting. Last year he has collaborated lyrically with Black Country, New Road on their latest album (Salem Sisters), and released a collaborative track with rapper Jianbo. With his 6-piece band, he has toured the UK several times, headlining Omeara on the last one and in April he supported Cameron Winter on his UK shows. In August/September 2026, the band supported Geese on 4 of their UK tour dates.
