MUBI FEST - UNDERSCORE 004: THE MUSIC OF NICOLAS WINDING REFN

Celebrate the opening night of MUBI FEST London with the fourth edition of MUBI and Crack's Underscore – a series of music events inspired by film.

From his breakthrough *Drive* – which famously featured Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’ – through the hallucinatory *Only God Forgives* and *The Neon Demon*, music has played an essential role in Refn’s cinematic world-building; a universe where pulsating synths and stylised pop are as important as strobed neon and surreal violence.

This edition of Underscore expands on his vivid marriage of sound and vision, featuring DJ sets from Richard Fearless and Ruby Quick.

*MUBI FEST comes to London November 13-15. Great cinema, exclusive talks, live music, and more.*
