In music as in life, genius doesn’t just appear.

It typically takes a lot of sweat sometimes – sometimes even tears. Acknowledged as one of the greatest composers to have ever lived, Johann Sebastian Bach certainly knew that and spared no effort in honing his skill as a performer and a composer. The many exercise books he wrote for himself and for fellow keyboardists are known as the Clavierübungen, and widely celebrated for their flair and virtuosity.
