Ex-frontman and guitarist of post-shoegaze, pre-Britpop cult heroes Adorable (signed to Creation Records), Pete Fij(alkowski) joins us this October with fresh solo material, unveiling songs that brim with melody, wit and understated charm.
Back after another musical hiatus – the former interrupted by two critically acclaimed albums with Terry Bickers – Pete’s forthcoming LP ‘Up’s The New Down’ slings back on the electric guitar, ups the BPMs and embraces his fuzzed up dream-pop past whilst throwing in elements of pop and electronica.
Pete’s lush and rich baritone voice has been compared to Lee Hazlewood, Lou Reed and Richard Hawley, now sounding stronger – more urgent and characterful than ever.
