Description

Poppy Ackroyd brings her intimate, finely detailed music to Bristol Beacon. A composer and pianist known for finding extraordinary textures in acoustic instruments, Ackroyd’s live performances centre on the interplay between piano and violin, with intricate rhythms, delicate melodies and moments of swelling intensity.

Her latest album, Liminal, marks a return to these two instruments, with every sound created from piano and violin alone. Expect music that moves between quiet, reflective passages and more expansive, emotionally charged moments, as Ackroyd builds rich layers from the smallest details.

A chance to hear her distinctive sound up close, performed live.
