Rebecca Raabis & Jordie Potekal

Live at Loophole Coffee Bar
Join us for an intimate evening of original music, acoustic performances, and storytelling featuring two Alberta singer-songwriters.
Rebecca Raabis (HAREHOUND)
With over 15 years of writing and performing experience, Rebecca Raabis has built an impressive musical résumé, including opening for Marianas Trench, having music featured in Rookie Blue and Ben’s at Home, and performing at Canadian Music Week and Toronto’s all-women showcase, Honey Jam.
Now performing under the name HAREHOUND, Rebecca creates empowering, uplifting, synth-driven alternative rock, drawing on her love of music production and honest lyric writing. For this special performance, she’ll bring her songwriting into an intimate setting.
Jordie Potekal (NIKU)
Jordie Potekal is a Calgary-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and co-frontman of punk rock band NIKU. With over 20 years of experience in Canada’s independent music scene, Jordie has performed across the country with Calgary acts including Rockets and Dinosaurs, Deluge, The Heirlooms, The Northern Coast, and NIKU.
For this performance, Jordie trades the volume of his punk rock roots for an intimate acoustic set of original songs, personal storytelling, and self-deprecating humour, exploring love, heartbreak, growing older, and learning life’s lessons the hard way.
