August Cooke writes songs for cello and voice caught between expression and expanse. His second ep On the Line is a fragmented vision of sunlit melody and churning descent. Music of unbelonging and freedom.
Shoegaze violinist Knee Gnaw blends distorted drones, fragmented melodies and found sounds. His album, Downtuning, responds to a noisy urban environment, where passing bus engines and subwoofers shake the windows in their frames. With his immersive, improvisatory solo show, he regularly appears in grassroots spaces around London.
Ric Pecchi is a singer-songwriter drawn to the lo-fi intimacy of modern folk as well as the lush, orchestral arrangements of classic Italian records from the ’60s and ’70s. His debut EP “Night Bloom” includes songs that balance simplicity and immediacy with a dreamlike quality.
