STEVE PLEDGER / SUE CONROY

“Award-winning singer/songwriter of songs. Folk/Roots/Acoustic... that kind o' thing.” – Steve Pledger’s typically self-effacing summary of what he is about. In fact, Steve has been too long away from Toft House. He has always given us passionate and heartfelt performances of his intelligent and beautifully crafted, melodic songs. With four fabulous albums to date, with lots of awards, Steve isn’t in the mood for compromising. We can’t wait to catch up with him again. “A direct route to the heart” – RnR Magazine “A privilege to witness” – FATEA Magazine "An object lesson in the craft of contemporary songwriting" - (fRoots) SUE CONROY burst on to the Teesside music scene a couple of years ago (I think!). Her songs are wordy, witty, intelligent and hard-hitting. Sue is amazingly prolific too. She has a totally engaging stage presence and has always had the audience singing along on her previous appearances at Toft House. Welcome back Sue! Tickets; £10 (adv) / £12 (door)
