Description Welcome to our next edition in our Knowledge Nights series - Mental Mileage: Handling Pressure and Building Resilience with RCC & former NCAA D1 track athlete, Brooke Oldfin. This talk dives into the mental side of competitive running — how performance pressure shows up in the body and mind, and practical tools for working through it on race day and beyond. We'll explore why the mental side of athletics matters, including the role of pre-race anxiety, mental roadblocks, and the brain's impact on race day performance. You'll learn core skills to navigate pressure, push through discomfort, and build resilience — tools that carry over well beyond running, into whatever pressure shows up in daily life. Whether you're chasing a PR or just trying to enjoy the sport again, you'll leave with real strategies to run with a calmer, steadier mind. We'll close with an open Q&A to dig into your specific questions — come ready to learn, connect, and leave with tools you can start using right away! About Brooke:  Brooke Oldfin is a Squamish-based Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and former D1 track & field athlete.
