Join us at the iconic venue, The Hope & Anchor London, for a Tuesday night acoustic special. Hampshire-based alternative artist Charlie Smith hosts the lineup, which features a diverse array of acoustic-based artists. We hope you can join us in the evening to celebrate grassroots music in the capital. This event is part of the 'When I grow up I don't want to be anything at all' 2nd album release tour, which seeks to promote local grassroots music, not only by featuring talented musicians but also by fundraising for the music venue trust. Charlie Smith will be donating £1 for every album and T-shirt sale to support the vital work that they do. Thanks in advance for your support. Charlie Smith My name might be common, but my style is alternative. I’m Charlie Smith, a singer-songwriter from Romsey, Hampshire. I perform solo and have experience playing and hosting my own independent shows at venues such as The Railway Inn, Flack Manor Brewery, and The Platform Tavern. I am super passionate about grassroots music and regularly participate in action to grow my local scene. Fiercely independent, I record and produce all my music with a true DIY ethos. In April, I hosted six gigs in England as part of my music venue trust fundraiser tour. I managed to fundraise £575, including events in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool & Leicester. Mar Marina Elezović, who performs under the name MAR, has a unique blend of indie-folk and Americana influences that resonate through her music. Born in Canada but raised in Croatia, she brings a diverse cultural background to her sound. Marina's music is heartfelt and deeply emotional, often addressing themes of personal struggle, growth, and introspection. Her work has been described as a mix of folk, indie, blues, and even elements of rock. Sue Harding Born in London but brought up in the Cotswolds, Sue doesn’t remember a time when she couldn't sing; falling in love with roots & folk music initially when studying English in Manchester. Later, when living in Wales & then Bath, Sue found sessions & folk clubs, learning traditional songs & developing her craft along the way. L!V L!V is a Pop/R&B artist from Brighton, making music that is uplifting, heartfelt and relatable. Taking inspiration from artists such as Olivia Dean and Jorja Smith, she combines genuine lyrics with captivating melodies, drawing from her own experiences to shape her music. L!V hopes to connect with listeners through honest storytelling and emotion. Bobby Treacle Singer / Songwriter from Beckenham, the sunniest side of South London. Crafting lo-fi acoustic numbers for the masses.
