Suggested donations include: Board games, puzzles, frisbees, footballs, beach towels, sunhats, art supplies, STEM kits, books, fidget toys, toiletries, cosmetics, movie vouchers, and gift cards. The Hamilton Station Hotel, Toploader Gigs, and Newcastle Music Show are proud to present THE HAMO XMAS SPECIAL. Part toy-drive, part charity concert. We've gathered some of Newy's finest bands for one very special show to bring in The Silly Season. We Care Connect are doing their annual Christmas Gift Appeal - aiming to make sure 4,000 children across the Central Coast and Hunter wake up to a gift under their Christmas tree. We're helping out by running a massive show with Catpiss, Trophy Wyfe, Resident., The Tryouts, and a very special reunion from Split Feed. To gain entry to the show, you must bring a donatable toy or gift, we will collect them for We Care Connect, and then they place it under the Christmas tree of children who need it most. CATPISS imported from city, coast, country and afar only to be brewed in the 'Steel City' where they have developed a unique sound of rock by hammering together elements of punk, hardcore and psych-rock to create a sonic equivalent of a week long bender. The band have recently conquored Bigsound, Thrashville, and West Best Bloc Fest. It's great to have them back on home-turf for this one. TROPHY WYFE are a three-piece indie rock band from Newcastle, who are having their biggest year yet. They won triple j's Unearthed High 2026, crowning them the best high-school act in the country. Plus, supporting The Cribs (UK), Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Skeggs, and Vacations. Not to mention their single 'Spiders' is one of the best songs of the year, get around it. SPLIT FEED are back! Newcastle's indie punk darlings return for their first show in over four years (2nd show in seven years for those playing at home). Back in the day they played Groovin' The Moo and supported everyone from Luca Brasi to The Ruebens. Couldn't be more excited to have them back for this special show - it's a Christmas Miricle! RESIDENT. also played Split Feed's last show, there's a fun fact for you! One of Newy's best Alt Rock bands, they released their fantastic self-titled debut album last year on Bereave In God Records. THE TRYOUTS are opening this show with catchy-as-all-hell two-piece Indie Rock. The band released their latest single 'Chewing Gum' last month, and have spent the year playing shows with the likes of Ben Lee, Cheeky Leesh, and Liquid Zoo.
