Slipped Disc NYE ✧ Anish Kumar, Pangaea, Storm Mollison, Yemz + more

Slipped Disc presents:

✧ TOTAL PARTY ✧ NYE ✧

Pangaea · Anish Kumar · Storm Mollison · Yemz + more TBA

Slipped Disc returns to Number 90 in Hackney Wick for a full-venue NYE takeover like no other. Three rooms, three different experiences of multi-sensory entertainment, built like a record: an A-side, a B-side and the sleeve that provides an unexpected surprise. Come and ramp into 2027’s treasures with us.

✧ The Hideout [A-Side] ✧

Deep groove and deep crates. The esteemed Anish Kumar and Storm Mollison headline the room. Kumar pulls influence from multiple cultural touchstones, from Northern soul to classic Bollywood, incorporating elements into his signature tapestry of analogue warmth and rough-edged sampling, while Storm Mollison has spent a majority of the past four years showcasing her well seasoned musical palette - from groovy chicago house and disco to UK garage and 140 breaks. The A-side's name of the game is fun: funk, disco and house groovers all night long. Expect tasty cuts and vinyl gems from Slipped Disc residents to soundtrack the rest of the wood-panelled room.

✧ The Lock [B-Side] ✧

Number 90’s revamped main room, engineered for sonic perfection, is where we get experimental. Pangaea and Yemz bring genre-traversing, bass-heavy sounds that push dance music forward. Pangaea avoids the feedback loops of established scenes, and his tracks have the strange, innovative edge of genres in their infancy. The result is some of the strangest and most banging dance music to come out of the UK in 15 years. Yemz is the high-energy party starter, Bristol via North London, and brings sounds of the diaspora, from UK funky to dirty grime instrumentals and UKG wobblers.

✧ The Canal Boat [Sleeve] ✧

Secret again, unexpected again ;)

If you were there last year, you might come for the canal boat alone...
