During approximately 1.5 km of slow, mindful walking, participants are offered sensory invitations to notice their surroundings more deeply — colours, textures, shapes, patterns, sounds, scents and movement, as well as their own sensations, memories and feelings.

Forest Therapy is not about hiking a particular distance or achieving a goal. It is a practice of slowing down, awakening the senses and being fully present in relationship with the natural environment. An organic forest aperitif is also included.

The experience then continues in the studio, where impressions from the forest are explored through intuitive drawing and painting. This part is guided by Sue Jackson Thomas, a professional artist with a Master of Arts and an ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide.

Participants are invited to work with colours, shapes, textures, patterns, memories, feelings and sensations noticed during the forest experience. The purpose is not to learn how to draw or paint, but to give creative form to what has been noticed and experienced. No artistic experience is required.

The day concludes with a deeply relaxing Sound Immersion led by Markus Camenzind and Thomas Elliker, using crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, drums, gongs and other acoustic instruments. The session is created in response to the group and invites deep relaxation, inner stillness and mindful presence.

No previous experience is required.
No artistic, meditation or Forest Therapy experience is necessary.

Event language: English; explanations in German are available if needed.

PROGRAM

13:00
Meeting at Zürich, Heizenholz bus stop

13:00–18:00 — Forest Therapy & Creative Expression

Guided Forest Therapy with sensory invitations and approximately 1.5 km of slow, mindful walking, followed by an organic forest aperitif and intuitive drawing and painting in the studio inspired by the forest experience.

18:30–20:00 — Sound Immersion

A deeply relaxing Sound Immersion using crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, drums, gongs and other acoustic instruments, followed by a closing circle and presentation of certificates of participation.

YOUR GUIDES

Tomáš Hraško, M.D.
ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide.

Sue Jackson Thomas
Professional artist with a Master of Arts, educator and ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide.

Markus Camenzind & Thomas Elliker
Meditation teachers and facilitators working with sound and awareness through crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, drums, gongs and other acoustic instruments.

PARTICIPATION FEE

CHF 260

Includes guided Forest Therapy, organic forest aperitif, art materials, studio use, Sound Immersion and certificate of participation.

Reduced fee: CHF 221

for students, seniors and SGNW members.

Places are intentionally limited.

Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for forest conditions.

MEETING POINT

Zürich, Heizenholz bus stop
Regensdorferstrasse, 8049 Zürich

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the program begins.

Detailed arrival information will also be sent to registered participants before the event.

Questions:
[email protected]
