Chad Van Gaalen (solo)
Relentlessly creative, innovative indie musician, animator and illustrator Chad Van Gaalen has been making off-the-wall music that drifts between folk and free sonics for 30 years in Calgary/Mohkinstsis. Whether as a one-person band or with fellow creatives Chris Dadge, Ryan Bourne and Scott Munro or the new electronic duo CG Tears, his art has taken him around the world and garnered nods from the Junos and Polaris Prize. Chad lives in a rickety house with his wife, kids and dogs and doesn’t like to leave home more than he absolutely has to.
With opener Jairus Sharif
This self-taught saxophonist and multi-instrumental improviser discovered avant-jazz via the breadcrumb trails of early hip-hop samples after prior stints as a turntablist and blues and garage rocker. His is a singular musical vision that fuses Sharif’s fusion of hazy hip-hop atmosphere and free-form jazz that uncovers and shares inner truths.

This is a seated event. Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
