On December 12th, MVSON takes over 99 Scott as the Manchester born event series and record label brings its world to New York. Founded by UK trio Mason Collective, MVSON began within the same Manchester club culture that helped shape the group behind it. Its earliest parties gave the brand a foundation outside of traditional headline focused events, with the focus placed on the full room, the lineup and the people surrounding it. From there, MVSON grew into a wider platform spanning events and recorded music. Its parties became known for busy rooms and lineups pulling from across house and club music, combining familiar names with artists from the wider circle surrounding the brand. That community has remained central as MVSON has moved into larger spaces and new cities outside the United Kingdom. The record label became another extension of that world. Rather than existing separately from the events, MVSON releases connect directly back to the music heard at its parties, providing a home for records from Mason Collective and other artists linked to the platform. Together, the two sides of MVSON have allowed it to move beyond being an artist affiliated party into a broader club music platform with its own audience and roster. Its Manchester history remains an important part of the story. The city has long been one of the United Kingdom’s major centers for dance music, nightlife and sound system culture, and MVSON grew directly from that environment. As the brand has traveled further, it has continued to carry pieces of that background with it while adapting each event to the city and space it enters. That next stop is Brooklyn. For its December 12th New York date, MVSON moves into 99 Scott, bringing the event series and label together inside one of the city’s best known warehouse spaces. The night marks another international chapter for the UK platform and a chance for New York to experience MVSON on its own terms, with the focus firmly on the music, the room and the wider community the brand has built around both.
