Equal parts performance, participation, and conversation, the Rising Song Salon brings artists into Hadar’s beit midrash to explore the intersection of musical expression, storytelling, and text. This winter’s Salon features Reynhartisk. Led by Yoshie Fruchter in collaboration with R. Deborah Sacks Mintz, Reynhartsik explores the intersection of Yiddish poetry and intimate harmony. Current projects include Sandcatchers - exploring the sounds of the Middle East combined with the American South - and Reynhartsik - an acoustic folk duo excavating Yiddish poetry. A sought after sideman, Yoshie has performed and recorded with a wide variety of artists in concerts around the country and overseas, including Eitan Katz, Frank London, Basya Schechter, and moreR. Deborah Sacks MintzAn educator and practitioner of Jewish communal music, Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz supports those who seek a deepened practice of empowered prayer and song. A celebrated composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, Deborah has collaborated on over two dozen records with a diverse array of voices in the Jewish soundscape, including her own albums: The Narrow and the Expanse(2020) Yetzira (2023) and Songs from the Beit Midrash (2026).
