GoodkatGoodkat started as The Brothers Goodkat back in 2010 with brothers Rohann and Neels Smit on guitar and keys. After a few lineup changes and a hiatus, they re-emerged with Paul De Villiers and Du Toit Kemp on bass and drums.Drawing influence from the vocal grit of Tom Waits, the swagger-piano of Peter Cincotti, and the cinematic storytelling of Murder by Death, they’ve shaped a sound that’s both raw and reflective — what they call “dirty kitchen rock.”
