A master of the mandolin - and equally at home on fiddle, guitar, mandola and mandocello - Collins has become a major force in Canada’s roots music scene. Alongside fellow string virtuoso Adam Shier and bassist, mandocello player and vocalist James McEleney, he creates music that moves effortlessly from blazing bluegrass and folk to jazz, newgrass and chamber-inspired arrangements. With a dizzying range of instruments, tight interplay and quick-witted stage presence, The Andrew Collins Trio delivers the kind of performance that keeps audiences completely locked in.
