**Dean McMullen** celebrates the release of his deeply personal second album, *Part Two*, with a special hometown show raising money for Parkinson’s UK. Exeter-based songwriter Dean McMullen celebrates the release of his second solo album, Part Two, with a very special hometown performance at 12 Bar Music & Social. Sitting somewhere between indie, folk and alternative songwriting, Dean’s music is intimate, reflective and quietly resilient—drawing on family, memory, friendship and the strange process of getting older. Written in part about his family’s experience with Parkinson’s disease, Part Two forms part of a wider awareness and fundraising project for Parkinson’s UK. Its central song, The Only Thing, looks back on childhood memories of a dad who could seemingly fix almost anything—except getting sick. The album is Dean’s attempt to turn something difficult and deeply personal into something positive: creating songs that might connect with people facing similar experiences while raising money for families affected by Parkinson’s and research towards a cure. Dean will be joined by Lawi, with another special guest still to be announced. **All performers are donating their performances. After VAT, booking fees and agreed travel expenses, all remaining ticket income will be donated to Parkinson’s UK**.
