The Clash Vs Ian Dury!

Punky Reggae Party + I@n Dury & the Blackheads + We Got Killers til 2am - Punky Reggae Party - a 90 minute full on Clash set from Chris Scopes and his sensational band. This isn’t so much a tribute as an inspired homage, the arrangements are certainly wonderfully familiar but these lads do yer Strummer/Jones/Simenon/Topper numbers with very own fiery style. A great night out in itself of course but tonight we have a very special tribute support of the same era. ‘Micky Gallagher’ is gonna be busy tonight. From Sheffield, the Blackheads give you Ian Dury classics with all the bells and whistles. Singer Dave Bickley has it nailed! The best Ian Dury act since Gollem! No offence to other Lord Upminsters out there- one mus not add insult to Ian Dury (groan). Tony Bugbear does the We Got Killers thing from 11 once the Casbah has been thoroughly rocked, with no doubt a good spread of adjacent contemporary sounds and all manner of deviant disco shit til 2am.
