With Baden Prince, Lynette Hill, Pete Boyce, Stephen Hobbs, Lou Tribus - Join us for another night of wild and wonderful words by and for adults!Tales Tattled & Told is proud to present the Antiguan-born performer and internationally acclaimed storyteller and poet Baden Prince as he shares tales that celebrate his Caribbean heritage and honour grandmothers everywhere.Baden spent his formative years in the care of his grandmother on Antigua, before joining his parents in England at 15.His programme, titled 'What a Woman,' debuted at the July, 2026 Festival at the Edge.Entertaining and informative, humorous and dark, expect elements of the supernatural, traditional Antiguan folk tales, personal memories, patios and poetry, all painting a vivid picture of life in a vibrant 1960s Caribbean household - a life presided over by the indomitable matriarch; Mama.Baden has been a part of London’s thriving Live Literature and Spoken Word scene since the turn of the 21st century. Baden’s repertoire incorporates “traditional” tales from the Caribbean and all over the world, as well as original, self-penned material. As a writer and performer Baden engages reader and audience with a style that is warm, self-assured and displays an entertaining blend of insight and humour. His accomplishments include performances at East Anglia's Storytelling Festival. He has served as Writer-in-Residence with the London Borough of Havering’s Library Service in 2003/4 and again in 2007/8. He has worked extensively in schools and community settings all over the country as a workshop facilitator for organisations such as Apples & Snakes, Hackney Learning Trust and Spread the Word, on projects as diverse as the London Schools Poetry Slam, Linklaters Reading and Writing Challenge and New London Orchestra’s Music & Literacy Project.Hosted by Lynette Hill.With more stories from Pete Boyce, Stephen Hobbs and Lou Tribus.This event is intended for ages 16 and older.Tickets are £7.70 online through WeGotTickets.com and £9 at the door.
