The Hayward Hawaiian Music Series continues its second season with one of Hawaiʻi’s hottest contemporary Hawaiian groups—Ei Nei, appearing in Hayward for a very special evening of music, harmony and aloha. Featuring Dane Fujiwara, Grant Kono and ʻEkolu Chang, Ei Nei has quickly established itself as one of Hawaiʻi’s standout groups, blending beautiful harmonies, contemporary arrangements and a deep connection to Hawaiian music and culture. The trio first captured attention with the 2020 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist and has continued to build an impressive musical legacy. In 2026, Ei Nei had an extraordinary night at Hawaiʻi’s most prestigious music awards, taking home six Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, including Album of the Year, Group of the Year and Favorite Entertainer of the Year. Their acclaimed Ei Nei, Look At Us was named Island Music Album of the Year, while their song “Hawaiʻi Forever” captured both Song of the Year and Single of the Year. Produced, organized and hosted by Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning musician Patrick Landeza, the Hayward Hawaiian Music Series continues its mission of bringing celebrated artists from Hawaiʻi and authentic Hawaiian music and culture to the heart of Hayward.
