Four stories. One shared inheritance.
Monolithic Theatre returns to Ladbroke Hall with Four Fathers, an intimate evening of theatre exploring fatherhood, family, identity, memory and cultural inheritance. Through four individual works and a special bonus performance, the programme brings together powerful voices in contemporary writing and performance, reflecting on the relationships and experiences that shape who we are.
The performances include Eulogy, written by Olivia Bennett and performed by Zoha Rahman; Next of Kin, written by Isaiah Weekes and performed by Joel Francis-Williams; Shadowboxer, written by Roger Robinson and performed by Femi Oyeniran; and extracts from Manorism, written by Yomi Sode and performed by Ayomide Adegun. The evening also features a special extract from James Baldwin's The Fire Next Time, performed by Raphel Famotibe.
Alongside the performances, acclaimed photographer Eddie Otchere presents his photographic series FATHER, exploring identity, community, memory and fatherhood through visual storytelling.
Curated and directed by Justin Marosa, produced by Erycka Morales and Xolani Annakie, and presented by Monolithic Studio, Four Fathers places actors and the written word at the centre of an intimate theatrical experience. The evening invites audiences to reflect on belonging, presence, absence and the connections that reach across generations.
