HEAT 1 FEATURING: MULCH MESSIAH - SUSPICIOUS LIQUID - RUNA - SPRINGTAILS MULCH MESSIAH: 3 Piece Sludge Metal from Selby SUSPICIOUS LIQUID: Suspicious Liquid are a four-piece stoner/psychedelic rock band from York, known for their smoke-filled, theatrical live rituals and fluid command of genre. Moving between ethereal haze and primal, fuzz-soaked weight, they craft soundscapes charged with mystic intensity. Their debut album Suspicious Liquid by Suspicious Liquid, released November 8th, distills this into a hypnotic trip of distortion, melody, and trance-inducing atmosphere. With Vanessa Toyn on vocals, Danny Durie on guitar, Stephen Shirley on drums, and Jack Oatway on bass, Suspicious Liquid invite listeners to step into the haze. RUNA: RUNA is an electrifying artist whose journey from her small-town origins in southern Italy to the vibrant streets of Leeds has shaped her into a captivating force in the indie music scene. SPRINGTAILS: Springtails are a indie rock / alternative rock band based out of York. Consisting entirely of students from York St John University, they write songs that are fast paced, and energetic. They also do covers of bands such as Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party and The Strokes and have played at venues across York including The Fulford Arms, The Crescent and Micklegate Social as well as various university led events. Semi-finals: 1 - Sat 27th February 2 - Sun 28th February Grand final: Sun 21st March Timings: Heats: Doors 7pm Stage times (running order drawn at random during soundcheck): 7.30pm-8.00pm 8.15pm-8.45pm 9.00pm-9.30pm 9.45pm – 10.15pm Top 2 from each heat go through to the semi-finals. Top 2 from each semi-final go through to the final… plus the judge’s wild card choice! Semi-finals & Final: Doors 6.30pm Stage times (running order drawn at random during soundcheck): 6.50pm-7.20pm 7.35pm-8.05pm 8.20pm-8.50pm 9.05pm-9.35pm 9.50pm-10.20pm You will be asked to vote for your top 2 favourite acts at the end of each night. You will only be able to vote once all bands have finished performing. If you leave before the end of the performances you will lose your vote. This event is 16 and over.
