GIRAF22 SHORTS: INDIE MIXTAPE SIDE A

Our Indie Animation Mixtapes represent what the festival Programming Committee deems to be the year’s most astounding, inventive, beautiful, mind-altering and unexpected animated films out there.
This year, side A of the Animation Mixtape is a testament that women animators are creating some of the most fearless, gentle, artful, and devastating animations of 2026. This pack shares stories of an awfully serious crime-noir about a stolen Tamagochi, the devastation of towns, communities, and individuals by the horrors of war, the obsession over making a decision, or just putting a bandaid over a problem, and the absolutely cathartic sensation of letting it all hang out - loose, fleshy, wiggly, and bare.
